Generac generator installation Cibolo sized to your loads and tested before we leave

A Generac install in Cibolo

We list what you want running in an outage, check the panel and the service, and recommend the Generac unit and the transfer switch to match. Then we set the unit, mount and wire the automatic transfer switch, run the wiring between the generator, the switch and your panel, and start it up and test it under load before we leave. For a business, the same sizing and transfer switch work applies at commercial scale.

• A load list room by room
• Automatic transfer switch at the service
• Start up and a transfer test under load

The utility side in Cibolo

GVEC is the primary electricity provider for the City of Cibolo. GVEC asks members with a backup generator to let it know. Its generator agreement says the generator and transfer switch are installed only by a Texas licensed electrician, outside GVEC's easement and properly grounded, that a transfer switch never goes on a GVEC pole, and that no one installs a meter collar or opens GVEC's meter. The transfer switch goes in after GVEC is notified, so it can arrange a temporary disconnect.

Permits in Cibolo

In Cibolo, Building Permits and Inspections takes every permit through MGO Connect, where permits are applied for, tracked and inspections scheduled. We confirm what the city requires before we write the price.

Contractor registration

Cibolo requires every contractor working in the city to register before applying for permits, with electrical one of the contractor types. The registration is in place before the permit is pulled, so it never holds up a start date.

Natural gas in Cibolo

CenterPoint Energy is the primary natural gas provider for homes and businesses in Cibolo. Gas line and gas connection are not included. That is a licensed plumber's work and we quote it separately. We coordinate the plumber with the electrical work so the unit is ready to run on the day it is finished.
