Home standby generators sized to the loads you want to keep running, installed with a transfer switch, permitted and inspected, then kept ready with scheduled maintenance. Licensed by TDLR and insured.
We sell and install Generac home standby and commercial generators.
What does a Generac generator installation include?
A Generac generator installation includes sizing the unit to your loads, setting it, wiring the automatic transfer switch, pulling the electrical permit and meeting the inspector, then testing the unit under load before we leave. The gas line is a licensed plumber's work, quoted separately and scheduled with the electrical work. We service and repair standby generators afterward.
Home standby sizing
Size comes from a list of what you want running in an outage: the air conditioning, the refrigerator, the well pump, medical equipment, the whole house or a set of essential circuits. We list the loads, check the panel and the service, and recommend the unit and the transfer switch to match.
We set the unit, mount and wire the automatic transfer switch, run the wiring between the generator, the switch and your panel, and start the unit up and test it under load before we leave.

Inside San Antonio, the City's electrical permit application covers generators, and we pull the permit and meet the inspector through the Development Services Department. Texas changed how cities may regulate home backup systems in 2025, and the suburban cities run their own permit offices, so we confirm what your city requires before we write the price.

Gas line coordination
A standby generator runs on natural gas or propane, and the gas line is a licensed plumber's work, not an electrician's. Gas line and gas connection are not included. That is a licensed plumber's work and we quote it separately. We coordinate the plumber with the electrical work so the unit is ready to run on the day it is finished.
A standby generator exercises itself on a schedule, but the oil, the filters, the plugs and the battery still need service at the intervals in the owner's manual for your model. We service and repair standby generators and test the transfer switch at each visit.
The transfer switch is what makes a standby generator automatic: it senses the outage, starts the generator and moves your loads over, then moves them back when the utility returns. We install whole house and essential circuit switches, with load management for large air conditioning loads.
For a business, a standby generator keeps the loads that cannot stop running through an outage. The same sizing, transfer switch and permit work applies, at commercial scale.
