A generator that runs is only half of backup power. The other half is the path from the generator into the house: the inlet box, the cord, the interlock or transfer switch, and the circuits it feeds. When the grid goes down and the lights stay off, that path is often where the fault is.
We test that path from end to end, find what is not carrying power, and repair it to code. If the problem is inside the generator's engine, we say so plainly, so you can call the dealer or service shop that works on it.
What generator repair covers
- Automatic transfer switches that do not switch
- Manual transfer switches and interlock kits
- Generator inlet boxes and cords
- Connections at the panel and at the generator
- Circuits that stay dark on generator power
- A test run under load once repaired

Usually something between the generator and the panel: a transfer switch that is not switching, an interlock left in the wrong position, a failed inlet box or a loose connection. We test each point to find it.
