What we run, and why techs stay

Wattsmith runs on documented systems, not guesswork. Flat-rate pricing quoted and approved before the work starts. Written install standards. A licensed master signing off on the work. That is the same discipline whether you are the customer or the crew.

Techs stay because the deal is straight both directions. W-2 employment, honest pay for skill, real supervision that makes you sharper, and a ladder you can actually climb. Run good work to the standard and get paid for it. That is the whole of it.

How production pays

One hourly rate, and overtime

Straight hourly, W-2, with overtime at time and a half over 40 hours in a week. A journeyman starts at $35 an hour. There is no commission and no draw, so what you are paid does not depend on what you sell, and your rate rises as you add licenses and take on more responsibility.

You are not in sales here. The flat-rate book and the three-option presentation do the selling; your job is expert diagnosis, honest presentation, and excellent work. The fast, clean electrician out-earns the talker, five-star reviews that name you pay a bonus, and callbacks are reworked at base rate.

  • Dates and employers for your last three jobs
  • The earliest date you could start
  • Any certifications you carry, such as OSHA 10 or NFPA 70E
