Styling stations
Blow dryers, flat irons and other heated tools draw heavy current, and several running at once on one circuit is why salon breakers trip. We plan circuits station by station from the layout, so each chair has the power it uses.
Electrician for salons and spas
Build-outs and remodels for salons, barbershops and spas, with enough circuits for every station's dryers and tools, GFCI at the sinks, and lighting that shows true color.
What the work involves
Salon breakers trip when several dryers and heated tools share one circuit, so a salon needs circuits planned station by station from the layout. Receptacles near shampoo sinks need GFCI protection under NEC 210.8(B), color work needs lighting that shows true color, and electric water heaters and towel dryers need circuits sized from their nameplates.

Receptacles near shampoo sinks and other sinks need GFCI protection under NEC 210.8(B). We place and protect receptacles to the code and the layout.
Color work needs lighting that shows true color at each station and mirror. We install fixtures and controls to the salon's design.
Electric water heaters for the shampoo bowls and laundry dryers for towels are large loads. We size their circuits from the nameplates and check that the panel and service can carry them.
A salon build-out runs from the plans to rough-in and final inspection. We work from the layout and the GC's schedule.
Tripping breakers at busy hours and receptacles that heat up under dryers are the common calls. We split stations across circuits, use receptacles rated for the load, and label the panel to the floor plan.
Inside the city limits, the electrical permit goes through the City of San Antonio Development Services Department, under the 2023 National Electrical Code the city adopted effective May 1, 2025. We pull the permit and meet the inspector.
